Effective Monday, October 29, 2007, the GED Testing Center (OSSE)  opened to receive consumers at its new location in the University of the District of Columbia (Stable Building), 410 Eighth Street, NW in downtown Washington.  The office for registration as well as consultation offices will be located in Suite 601 and a dedicated examination room will occupy room 604.  Registrations will no longer be accepted in Building 52 of UDC, 4340 Connecticut Avenue NW (the building is being closed for a two year renovation).  The hours for the public to register for exams, request transcripts, reschedule, pay appropriate fees by either money order or business check made out to GED Testing Center/UDC and accommodations counseling are Monday through Friday, 9am to 1pm except weekends and holidays.  For the balance of the business days the staff is actively engaged in providing services to group enrollments by appointment, scoring, transcript and certificate generation for mailing, receiving and responding to mailed requests from consumers who have taken advantage of our website (www.DCGED.org).
